Black earns All-Rookie honors

University at Albany freshman Mike Black has been named to the 2009-10 America East All-Rookie team.

Black averaged 6.8 points, 2.4 assists and 1.6 rebounds per game and started 21 of the Great Danes' 30 games.

Black joins five other UAlbany players, who have earned such an honor. Those are Jamar Wilson (2003), Levi Levine (2003), Jon Iati (2004), Brent Wilson (2005) and Black's current teammate Tim Ambrose (2008).

Sophomore Billy Allen was named to the conference's all-academic team.
