Brown: Black best freshman in AE
ALBANY - University at Albany coach Will Brown said Wednesday that he thinks freshman point guard Mike Black is the best rookie in the America East Conference.
"In my mind, he is," Brown said. "I just think that he is the full-time point guard. He's our guy. Every time he steps on the floor, he's the smallest guy on the floor. I think he's just gotten better and better and better."
Black supplanted senior Mike Johnson at the point guard position and has started 21 games, while averaging 6.8 points per game.
The other choices seem to be Binghamton's Dylan Talley and Maine's Murphy Burnatowski.
