Manhattan 40, Siena 36 (half)
ALBANY - If Siena was going to come out of the gates charging, they haven't showed up yet because Manhattan took it to the two-time defending champs early in the first half.
The Jaspers led 16-4 after the first seven minutes of action as the Saints had shot 1-for-12 from the field.
Siena got back in the game with an 11-0 run, but Manhattan hasn't folded and they've actually countered when the Saints threw a punch their way.
The Jaspers are 6-for-11 from 3-point land.
Rico Pickett has scored 10 points and has not made any friends on the Saints bench as he has had words for them on a couple of occasions, while heading back up the floor after baskets.
Alex Franklin lead all scorers with 17 points.
