Knightmare Averted - Lansingburgh is in
The Lansingburgh Knights are in the playoffs after a decision by the Section II transfer comittee reversed their earlier decision from a week ago. The Knights will host Mohonasen on Friday, a rematch from Week 2, a 42-14 Lansingburgh victory. The pairings for the Class A football sectional tournament are listed below.
Class A
I4 Mohonasen (1-6) at II1 Lansingburgh (6-1), 7 p.m.
II3 Glens Falls (4-3) at I2 Bishop Maginn (5-2), 7 p.m.
I3 Averill Park (2-5) at II2 Amsterdam (6-1), 7 p.m.
II4 Gloversville (3-4) at I1 Burnt Hills (6-1), 7 p.m.
This ends a week-long odyssey and most notably the last few days when it didn't seem like anyone wanted to make a decision regarding the eligibility of senior tailback NyQuan McGirt and the future of the 2007 Lansingburgh season. Hopefully, now we can just get ready for Week 1 of the postseason.
