WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University at Albany came out and did what it had to do on Saturday afternoon.
The Great Danes got a game-high 24 points from Gerardo Suero and advanced into the America East Conference semifinals, with a 63-45 victory over New Hampshire.
UAlbany (19-13) takes on Stony Brook (21-8), on Sunday, in an America East semifinal matchup, at 5 p.m., on Sunday.
Mike Black added 11 points and nine rebounds, while Jacob Iati knocked down three 3-pointers and was a presence on defense.
The Wildcats (13-16) were led by Patrick Konan, who scored 12 points, while Alvin Abreu scored just eight.
