Siena 76, Loyola 59 FINAL

The Saints played one of their best games of the season.

All five starters scored in double figures, including senior Ryan Rossiter, who finished with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Rossiter also became just the second player in program history to grab his 1,000th career rebound, doing so early in the second half.

Siena (5-5, 8-12) led by as many as 20 points in the second half, getting great performances by Owen Wignot and Kyle Downey in the absence of Clarence Jackson, who missed his eighth game of the year because of an ankle injury.

The game was pretty even, until coach Mitch Buonaguro called a timeout after a turnover that led to an easy Greyhounds (6-4, 10-10) hoop, and really gave it to his team.

The team responded by rattling off a big run and taking control of the game.

Justin Drummond led Loyola with 12 points.

Siena hosts Niagara on Sunday at 2 p.m.
