Maine 66, UAlbany 64 FINAL
ALBANY - The University at Albany Great Danes played much better on Wednesday evening than they had in their past two conference games.
It still wasn't enough.
Senior Tim Ambrose missed a running 3-pointer from 30 feet out, at the buzzer, as Maine hung on to defeat UAlbany 66-64 in an America East Conference game at SEFCU Arena.
Ambrose missed two shots in the final minute and the Black Bears got the winning free throws from Raheem Singleton, with 3.6 seconds remaining.
Gerald McLemore scored a game-high 19 points for Maine (3-1, 9-7) and Troy Barnies added 18.
Mike Black scored a team-high 18 points for UAlbany (1-3, 8-11) , while Ambrose finished with 12 and Luke Devlin chipped in 10.

Brown is never short of excuses. He continues blaming everyone but himself. If the Danes can't beat Maine a tired team, at home, they are not a going to have a winning record in America East. Brown continues to have many defenders on other message boards. Losing 5 out of the last 6 games, and 3 straight losing seasons is not enough for Brown's sycophants to come back to the reality Brown is loser.
