ALBANY - A thrilling first half to the Albany Cup game.
The Siena fanbase was energized from the tip, from their Saints' performance and the exuberant Jimmy Patsos working the sidelines.
UAlbany fell behind by as many as 16, 32-16, but closed to within seven at intermission.
The Saints are led by Rob Poole, who scored 10, while Maurice White came off the bench to add nine. Siena shot 50 percent (13-26) in the first half and held the rebounding advantage, 21-13.
D.J. Evans and Anders Haas each had six points in the first half for the Great Danes.
