ALBANY - UAlbany got the job done.
It wasn't a blowout and it might not have been pretty, but the Great Danes (7-3, 15-9) earned their third straight victory on Wednesday evening, 87-76, over UMBC.
UAlbany led by as many as 24 points, midway through the second half, but UMBC (2-8, 3-18) didn't go away.
Gerardo Suero scored a game-high 32 points and Logan Aronhalt added 21 for the Great Danes.
Ryan Cook led the Retrievers with 28 points.
UAlbany has a big matchup with first-place Stony Brook, on Saturday, in the Big Purple Growl.
