UAlbany's Suero earns AE Player of Week honor

J.S. Carras/The Record
University at Albany junior guard Gerardo Suero has been voted America East Player of the Week, for the second time this season.

Suero averaged 20.5 points last week, in games against Siena and Colgate.

Suero is third in the league in points scored, trailing only Boston University's Darryl Partin (22.7) and Maine's Gerald McLemore (22.0).

Suero is 17th nationally in scoring and one of just 25 players nationwide, averaging at least 20.0 points per game.

Suero is also sixth best in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 51.6 percent (56-108) from the field.

The Great Danes are off this week, during final exams and get back to the floor on Satutday, against Cornell.
