Anosike becoming "a monster"
ALBANY - O.D. Anosike had another big game on Friday.
He finished with a career-high 17 points, despite finishing 1-for-7 from the free throw line.
Anosike is now averaging 9.0 and 6.7 rebounds per game.
“He's coming on,” said Siena coach Mitch Buonaguro. “He's a good complement to Ryan (Rossiter).”
Anosike and Rossiter have formed a dangerous 1-2 punch.
Anosike has continued to progress over the season.
“He's been playing well,” said senior guard Clarence Jackson. “He's becoming a monster down there.”
Following Siena's 64-57 victory, Jackson compared Anosike to Alex Franklin, in the team's defensive scheme.
"He's athletic and quick," Jackson said. "When you have a guy like that in the back, who can come up and get steals, that's dangerous."
