Jackson injures left ankle
LOUDONVILLE — One day before the NCAA Tournament bracket was released, Siena is hoping their bracket isn’t busted.
As the players were being introduced to the crowd on Selection Sunday, junior guard Clarence Jackson came out with crutches under each arm.
Jackson rolled his left ankle during practice on Saturday and said he couldn’t put any pressure on it.
“I’m definitely trying to get back out there,” said Jackson, after the Saints found out they would be playing Purdue on Friday in the first round. “This is a moment you don’t want to miss.”
Jackson started all 33 games and averaged 13.6 points per game for the Siena this season.
